If you squint (dim the light by half closing your eyes), hopefully the form will appear, giving a feeling of the light, the presence.

That drawing is special to me. It has attracted quite a lot of attention along the years, including Singapore (circa 2004) at a time when the island wasn’t so relaxed with nudity. I was so naive…

It’s Japanese, it’s centuries old, it’s a 5 minutes pose… Yes it’s challenging.
The quick sketches have that flavour of emergency which fits her moment so well (at least IMHO).
